LOS ANGELES (Billboard) - While OutKast lost the No. 1 album on the latest Billboard 200 albums chart week to crooner Josh Groban (news), the Atlanta-based hip-hop duo still has a lock on the Hot 100 singles chart.
"Hey Ya!" cruised to its seventh week atop the singles chart for the week ended Jan. 11, while "The Way You Move" featuring Sleepy Brown remained steadfast at No. 2.
Both Kelis and Alicia Keys (news) also maintained their positions. The former's "Milkshake" held at No. 3, while Keys' "You Don't Know My Name" once again rolled in at No. 4.
Twista reached a new peak on the Hot 100 this week with "Slow Jamz." Featuring a cameo by Kayne West, the cut scoots up three places to No. 5 to give Twista his highest showing as a solo artist. In 1997, his "Get It Wet" peaked at No. 96, and the year before he reached No. 22 with an appearance on Do Or Die's "Po Pimp."
Usher's "Yeah" featuring Ludacris & Lil Jon blasted to No. 14 from No. 20 on the Hot 100. The cut has shot to the top-20 in just three weeks.
The Hot 100's fastest-growing track at retail was Eamon's "F**k It (I Don't Want You Back)." The foul-mouthed break-up ballad jumped to No. 36 from No. 47. Eamon's Jive Records debut album is tentatively scheduled for a late February release.
The Hot 100's top debut is Jay-Z's "Dirt Off Your Shoulder," which entered the chart at No. 68. Other newcomers included Sara Evans (news)' "Perfect" (No. 71), Trace Adkins (news)' "Hot Mama" (No. 73), Jimmy Wayne's "I Love You This Much" (No. 74) and Jo Dee Messina (news)'s "I Wish" (No. 75).
Linkin Park's "Numb" topped Billboard's Modern Rock Tracks roundup for the 10th-week, but the cut surrendered the top spot on the Mainstream Rock Tracks chart. On that tally, Nickelback's "Figured You Out" moved up one slot to take over the lead.
Meanwhile, Courtney Love (news) penetrated the Modern Rock Tracks chart for the first time as a solo artist with "Mono." The song arrives at No. 29, making Love the first female solo artist to appear on the chart since Poe's "Hey Pretty" debuted in 2001.
